What did you do this past week?

This week was pretty busy for me. I had an exam and a project due. I also worked on my other assignments and started the Darwin project this week. Besides school work, I also went running a few days this week since the weather was especially nice.

What’s in your way?

Nothing is really in my way right now. I guess one thing I could improve on is to getting more sleep and also going out more. There are some days where I stay inside my apartment without getting any fresh air or sunlight which is probably not super healthy…

What will you do next week?

Next week I’m going back to Houston to get my second dose of the COVID vaccine which I’m pretty happy about! Hopefully, the side effects aren’t too bad though and I can still be able to focus on school. I’ll also probably visit some friends and spend more time with my family when I’m back in Houston.

If you read it, what did you think of the Dependency Inversion Principle?

I never knew much about the Dependency Inversion Principle so it was a pretty interesting topic to learn. I think that it’s also something important to know when/if we go into software engineering-related fields so we can ensure that the projects we’re working on will have good design. I also like how all the readings we’ve done kind of builds up and connect together.

What was your experience of vector, copy constructor, and copy assignment? (this question will vary, week to week)

I never knew that much about vectors since I never had much experience coding in C++ so I thought it was something interesting to learn.

What made you happy this week?

Something that made me happy this week was that I went to Amy’s Ice Cream. The flavors I got were Springtime Grass, Vietnamese Coffee, and Strawberry which were all pretty good.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip-of-the-week is to have consistent meeting times with your project group/partner. I think it’s very helpful to have a consistent schedule when working on a school/work project so that you’re prepared for the meeting and your mind will also be used to working around that time as well.
